aloha!
it's just us again dropping in with a bit of news for everyone.
our brand spanking new myspace page is up and streaming the entire new record's final mixes, head on over to the new aesthetically pleasing page and take a look around:
www.myspace.com/kaykayunderground
the new myspace page has a host of new features, including:
updated blogs, links to the digital purchasing of all of our records as well as links to purchasing fresh printed kay kay and his weathered underground tee-shirts from our friends at merchnow.
we're also getting very close to our full US tour with damien jurado, again if you haven't heard his new record "saint bartlett" stop what you're doing for christ's sake and go listen to a couple of the songs he's posted. for info go to:
www.saintbartlett.com www.secretlycanadian.com
while we're out on this tour run, we'll be stopping in a bunch of new cities that we've not yet been to and therefore will have lots of guest list availability in some of the towns we pass through. as a favor to our new and as of now, unknown friends, come track us down and we'll see what we can do to get you in free of charge...
also lastly, it's worth mentioning a little something about our super amigo and taste-maker, mr. jon sidel:
dude has a great hour long online radio show who's recent mother's day special included a tune from us. we're stoked and flattered to be included.
also, if you're not a total boner and you happen to live in los angeles and are rock n roll enough to be up at 3am on sunday mornings, tune into KCRW and listen to jon's show "idelic sounds"...
more info and jon's blog here: www.idelicsounds.com
seriously, homeboy has one of the best all around ears for good music on the planet, don't take our word for it, check out dude's wikipedia...

May 3rd, 2010
hello again!
last summer, when we wrapped up our touring stint out to the east coast with me without you and began the journey back to seattle from boston, we made a quick stop in rock island, IL. at the home of www.daytrotter.com where they have their analog recording studio, art space and offices.
for those of you not familiar with daytrotter, they have an entire database of incredibly talented artists and bands who've stopped by and had their performances taped at the studios and subsequently posted for the listening enjoyment of all...
it's a pretty sweet gig and needless to say we were very honored when they asked us to hot box their live room and get to jammin'.
the session has been posted by our homies:
Words by Sean Moeller
Sound engineering by Mike Gentry
merci beaucoup!
go ahead and take a listen and leave some comments showing daytrotter love:

hayley young on tour
April 30th, 2010
the best photographer on the planet as far as the camp around here is concerned, hayley young, has been accompanying us with her presence on all of our tours for the past 3 years.
she's stocked up hundreds of photos on various cameras she's been loaned and purchased, which when compiled will be for a very special visual biography and scrapbook of the band's experiences on the road through her eyes.
more details on the coffee-table book coming soon as well as a short documentary about hayley taking the wild orchid children onto a wildlife refuge to shoot the photographs for the artwork on their new full-length entitled "the wild orchid children are alexander supertramp"
more details on the wild orchid children record in the journal section...
for now though, here's a few shots from hayley's recent outing with us on the west coast:
